It was the winter of 1984 and Bosnian capital Sarajevo<\/a> became the centre of the world. There were ski resorts<\/strong> created, renovated or built from ground up for this occasion only.<\/span><\/p>\n

After the war, the sci centres found themselves in a difficult situation. \u00a0But today we see that there is a boom it that part of tourism in Bosnia and Hercegovina.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Some of the ski resorts still wait better days. But we have noticed that others work very hard and try to offer more attractive winter holiday packages.<\/span><\/p>\n

Besides the ski centres built purposely for the winter Olympic games in and around Sarajevo, there are other ski resorts that are well developed. Ski resorts\u00a0offer a great deal of fun for all you winter lovers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Here is the<\/b> list of the <\/b>Ski Resorts in Bosnia and Herzegovina<\/strong> at no particular order.<\/b><\/h3>\n

Rujiste<\/b><\/h3>\n

The ski resort <\/span>Rujiste<\/b><\/a> is located in <\/span>Herzegovina-Neretva Canton<\/b> (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina). \u00a0For skiing and snowboarding, there is 1.1 km of slopes available. There is 1 lift to transports the guests. The winter sports area is situated between the elevations of 1,052 and 1,175 m.<\/span><\/p>\n

The ski resort Ruiste is very near to the town in Mostar<\/a> where you will find an abundance of accommodation<\/a> facilities. Rujista is a beautiful place well visited all year around.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Jahorina<\/b><\/h3>\n

The ski resort <\/span>Jahorina<\/b> is located in the <\/span>Republika Srpska<\/b> (Bosnia and Herzegovina). Ski center offers 25 km of slopes for skiing and snowboarding.\u00a0 Jahorina has\u00a0<\/span>11 lifts available to transport the guests. The winter sports area is situated between the elevations of 920 and 1,889 m.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Jahorina ski resort is located within the mountain range of the same name in the <\/span>Dinaric Alps<\/b> south of Sarajevo. The winter sports resort was the site of the Women’s Alpine competitions for the 1984 Olympic Games of Sarajevo.<\/strong>
\nThere are slopes of all difficulty levels here. Moreover, the usually high levels of natural snowfall are complemented by artificial snow production equipment. In addition, Floodlighting enables night skiing.<\/strong> Cross-country trails<\/strong> and other sports facilities offer additional options in the Jahorina winter sports resort. Hotels, holiday apartments, bars, and clubs are all found at the ski resort – and the city of Sarajevo is also very close by.<\/span><\/p>\n

The ski resort <\/span>Sto\u017eer-Vrana \u2013 Kupres<\/b> is located in <\/span>Canton 10<\/b> (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina).\u00a0 The favourable geographical position at an altitude of 1250 m\u00a0 and sharp mountain-alpine climate guarantees lots of snow fun. The place is ideal for skiing and snowboarding. Kupres has <\/span>\u00a013 km of slopes available.\u00a0<\/b> The guest will find 3 lifts.<\/b>\u00a0The winter sports area is situated between the elevations of <\/span>1,317 and 1,708 m.<\/b><\/p>\n

In addition to the double chairlift,\u00a0 there are 2 ski lifts and one baby lift for the youngest.\u00a0 Also, you can find ski equipment for those who have not brought their own.<\/span><\/p>\n

Besides skiing, Kupres is offering sledging, night skiing rides on snowmobiles and sledges with a dogsled.<\/strong> In the summer, pure untouched nature is ideal for practising <\/span>paragliding, hiking, hunting, fishing, horseback riding, motocross riding<\/b>, and various excursions.
\nIn conclusion, Kupres<\/strong> is a popular tourist destination, especially in the winter.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>And don’t worry, in Kupres, you can find many accommodation facilities if you would like to spend a few days.<\/span><\/p>\n

Vlasic<\/b><\/h3>\n

The ski resort <\/span>Vlasic<\/b>\u00a0is located in the <\/span>Central Bosnia Canton<\/b> (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina). The ski resort offers skiing and snowboarding. There is <\/span>9.5 km of slopes available.<\/b>\u00a0There are\u00a06 lifts to\u00a0<\/b>transport the guests. The winter sports area is situated between the elevations of 1,220 and 1,520 m.<\/span><\/p>\n

Vlasic mountain is situated in the middle of Bosnia and Herzegovina. <\/span>Vlasic represents the most popular destination in the winter months in BiH<\/b>. This is due to the excellent accommodation facilities, in addition to skiing, snowboarding and other winter sports.<\/span>

The ski resort <\/span>Babin Do \u2013 Bjelasnica<\/b> is located in the <\/span>Canton of Sarajevo<\/b> (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina). The ski resort offers skiing and snowboarding. The guest can use 12.5 km of slopes. There are 8 lifts<\/strong> for transport of the guests. The winter sports area is situated between the elevations of 1,270 and 2,063 m.<\/span><\/p>\n

The resort is built for the Olympic Games<\/strong>. \u00a0In addition, there is a wide selection of restaurants, clubs, spa centres, as well as other activities related to winter activities.<\/span><\/p>\n

The ski resort <\/span>Blidinje \u2013 <\/b>Risovac<\/b> is located in <\/span>Herzegovina-Neretva Canton<\/b> (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina). The ski resort offers skiing and snowboarding. There is 4 km of slopes available. The guests can use 3 lifts for transportation.\u00a0 The winter sports area is situated between the elevations of 1,290 and 1,551 m.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ski Resort Risovac is located in a nature park Blidinje<\/a>. Apart from the<\/span> rich gastronomic offer<\/b> and <\/span>accommodation<\/b> options, you can visit the medieval necropolis. It is possible to hike around the plateau or visit Blidinje lake.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The place is ideal for skiing and snowboarding.\u00a0 The ski resort has 5 km of slopes available. There are \u00a03 lifts to transport the guests. The winter sports area is situated between the elevations of 1,040 and 1,350 m.<\/span><\/p>\n

This ski resort is located on the mountain Javor and named after the eponymous highest peak of the mountain at 1406 m. The centre is located on the main road from Zvornik to Sarajevo between Vlasenica and Han Pjesak.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ski resort Igrista was built during the Olympics in Sarajevo as an auxiliary centre.\u00a0 Even though the accommodation facilities are confined to <\/span>two hotels<\/b>,\u00a0 the city offers many opportunities for fun.<\/span><\/p>\n

The ski resort <\/span>Rostovo<\/b> is located in the <\/span>Central Bosnia Canton<\/b> (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina). Ideal for skiing and snowboarding. Ski resort offers 4 km of slopes. There are 2 lifts to transport the guests. The winter sports area is situated between the elevations of 1,020 and 1,118 m.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ski Center Rostovo is located 12 kilometres from Bugojno. <\/span>Ethno Village Babici<\/b> is a popular destination at this resort.
