Old Town Vido\u0161ki<\/strong> was an old town located on the hill above the city of Stolac<\/a>, Bosnia and Herzegovina<\/strong>, on the left bank of the river Bregava<\/strong>. Medieval<\/strong> Town Vido\u0161ki was mentioned in 1275. <\/strong>and in 1444.<\/strong> which show us his old history. But in this area archaeologist have found evidence of old cities even from antic<\/strong> times. This city was attacked and retaken many times in the past. Also, it was rebuilt, upgraded, established and upgraded, abandoned and resumed. Finally, today’s appearance is the work of the Austro-Hungarian army<\/strong> that demolished it in 1888<\/strong> and reconstructed it in accordance with its military-strategic needs.<\/p>\n

Unique Medieval Fair<\/span><\/h3>\n

Old Town Vido\u0161ki was listed as National monument of culture of Bosnia and Herzegovina<\/strong> in 2003. Besides beautiful walls, rich history, amazing view from it Old Town Vido\u0161ki has something more to offer. Every year, in midsummer, there is a medieval fair called Stola\u010dka tar\u010da<\/strong> (literally translated: Stolac\u2019s target). This unique fair is a great opportunity for all people interested in medieval history<\/strong>. Here you can see different groups from different parts of Europe showing off their skills. Some of them are dancing, some are singing, some will teach you how to swear and use a bow and arrow. Also, you can find a lot of different things on it like medieval torture techniques and a show of takeover of the city and the fort.<\/p>\n

This place is ideal for all of those that are interested in history. It is located only half an hour from Mostar <\/a>and they are connected with a good road. Besides that, in the close area of Old Town Vido\u0161ki there are Daorson<\/a> and Radimlja Necropolis<\/a>. This makes this area ideal for one-day trips for all of those who are coming to Mostar.<\/p>\n
