Just behind the Old Bridge, in a small courtyard tucked away, lies Café de Alma, a small family business of roasting coffee. It’s a part of outside wall of Tabhana tannery and only few meters from Tabačića mosque. Their location perfectly fits with a traditional spirit they gladly share with their customers.
Here you can find good coffee, but something even more important. A beautiful experience of traditional ways of coffee preparation, along with the story that follows this special experience. Besides that, this little shop offers educational experiences through coffee tastings for larger groups. But it also offers coffee workshops. There you can learn the process of coffee, from green bean all the way to your stomach.
If you are looking a small corner away from the touristic buzz of the main streets, Café de Alma is a perfect place for you. Their policy is not to have WiFi because the conversation is the main way of interaction and nothing should interrupt it. If coffee is not your thing, yet you would still like to enjoy this magical place. You can have a tea that was handpicked by the locals from the hilltops around Mostar or any of different domestic juices.
